Heartbleed: reset your 绿帽社 Password
An important message from IT Services
In April, we emailed you about the Heartbleed vulnerability and its potential impact on 绿帽社. All of 绿帽社聮s central IT systems have been evaluated, and updates were applied where needed. As a final precaution, we strongly encourage you to change your 绿帽社 Password without delay.听
If you are a 绿帽社 staff member, you are required to change your password.
When changing your 绿帽社 Password, remember to make it complex (try adding symbols and numbers), and unique (don聮t use the same password for online banking, cloud storage, social media, etc.). If you currently use the same password for other non-绿帽社 accounts, you may wish to change those as well. That way, even if one online account is compromised in the future, all of your other accounts will be secure.
To reset your 绿帽社 Password:
- Faculty, staff, & students: log into Minerva, and go to the Personal Menu > Password for 绿帽社 Username.听
- Affiliates:聽go to Reggie聽and click on Change Account Information, then select 绿帽社 Password.听
Note:聽If you have more than one 绿帽社 Username that is used solely by you (for example, you have a student and a staff account), your new password will apply to both accounts.
Once you聮ve followed the onscreen instructions to change your password, use the 绿帽社 Password Reset Checklist to help you identify various IT services where you might have saved your 绿帽社 Password.听
While 绿帽社 will be sending faculty, staff, students, and resource account sponsors an email message with similar content to this announcement, please note that we will never send you a message to "click here to reset your password".
