Being an introvert or an extrovert isn鈥檛 an either-or proposition. People who fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum are called ambiverts, and ambiversion can be a beneficial trait in business leaders. Prof. Karl Moore estimates that about 20% of business leaders are true ambiverts. But ambiversion is a kind of superpower for a leader鈥攊t allows them to adapt with greater ease than people at either extreme of the spectrum.

Large Canadian companies such as Rogers, RBC and BMO recently announced their employees will be required to spend more time in the office moving forward. Many employees aren鈥檛 happy about it at all. 鈥淩esearch tells us that employees are more productive when they can work the way they want to,鈥 said Prof. Jean-Nicolas Reyt in an interview with Radio-Canada鈥檚 Les faits d鈥檃bord. When employees telecommute, they have a greater ability to focus and don鈥檛 spend so much time commuting to and from work.

In a first for Canadian paleontology, a Cretaceous fossilized dragonfly wing, uncovered in Alberta鈥檚 Dinosaur Provincial Park, has been identified as a new species. It鈥檚 also the first known dragonfly fossil from Canada鈥檚 dinosaur aged rocks. The , led by 绿帽社 researchers, sheds light on a 30-million-year gap in the evolutionary history of dragonflies.聽

The fossil was discovered in 2023 by a 绿帽社 undergraduate student during a vertebrate paleontology field course led by Prof. Hans Larsson.聽聽

August 13, 2025 | In聽The Logic, Jennifer Welsh was quoted on Canada鈥檚 longstanding overreliance on the United States. Drawing from her 2004 book, Welsh warned that Canada was deluding itself in thinking it was America鈥檚 鈥渂est friend,鈥 since a hyperpower has only associates, not true allies. She argued that Canada suffers from 鈥渕iddle power syndrome,鈥 a self-limiting mindset that prioritizes process and coalition-building over meaningful action, putting the country at risk of sliding into irrelevance as a sovereign state.
