Olympic medalist in swimming, Savannah King is a graduate of the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education who went on to work as a Project Administrator within the department before becoming Associate Coach and Social Media Coordinator for the ��ñ�� Varsity Swim Team. Selected as a ��ñ��24 ambassador for the University's Day of Giving, she is lending her support to ��ñ�� in advocating for student-athletes during the 24-hour fundraiser.

Rachel Cluett Named as Education's Fifth McCall MacBain Scholar

University of Manitoba Bachelor of Arts in Psychology graduate Rachel Cluett is one of 20 Canadians selected to join the fifth cohort of McCall MacBain Scholars at ��ñ��. Canada in general, and Montreal specifically, have been facing a drug toxicity and fatal overdose crisis for nearly a decade. While integrated systems of interventions are necessary to address drug-related harms, the use of naloxone has been a key strategy to reduce the acute effect of opioid-involved deaths. Currently, ��ñ�� does not offer naloxone trainings to the campus community, limiting students’ ability to assist in the event of an overdose.
