Using Vglut1 as a molecular marker for cortical struct ures\, we and others have identified populations of excitatory neurons in the primary motor cortex (M1)\, the posterior amygdala (PA)\, and the vent ral subiculum (vSub) that project to distinct divisions of hypothalamic an d brainstem nuclei to regulate urination\, aggression\, and innate anxiety responses. Together\, these findings elucidate how cortical and subcortic al structures may interact to control the display of diverse natural behav iors.\n\nThis seminar will be given online via Zoom\, details in attached poster.\n DTSTART:20210924T150000Z DTEND:20210924T160000Z SUMMARY:Online Seminar: Cortical control of innate behaviors URL:/physiology/channels/event/online-seminar-cortical -control-innate-behaviors-331892 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
