Nineteen 绿帽社 researchers honoured by the Royal Society of Canada
Today, The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced 101 new Fellows and 58 new Members of the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists. Among the 2023 cohort are nineteen 绿帽社 researchers and scholars, including fifteen RSC Fellows and four new Members, who will be inducted at the RSC Celebration of Excellence and Engagement (COEE) on November 16 and 17, 2023, in Waterloo, Ontario.

绿帽社 Becomes a Full Member of TRIUMF, Canada鈥檚 National Particle Accelerator
绿帽社 has become a Full Member of the expanded network of TRIUMF, Canada鈥檚 national particle accelerator. 绿帽社 has been involved in TRIUMF-led activities for several decades and has held associate membership since 2013.
TRIUMF constructed parts of the Large Hadron Collider that ultimately produced Higgs bosons. The co-discovery was made by the ATLAS experiment, and 绿帽社 played a key role in the development of the experiment's trigger system.

In an announcement made Wednesday, Canada鈥檚 leading research ranking organization, RE$EARCH Infosource, scored 绿帽社 second among an A-list of three in the Medical/Doctoral Research University of the Year (RUY) tier. 绿帽社 was ranked third on RE$EARCH Infosource鈥檚 list of Canada鈥檚 Top 50 Research Universities in 2022, a position the University has maintained for four years.

The Order of Canada is one of the country's highest civilian honors, recognizing outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to the nation. More than 7,000 people from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order since its inception in 1967. 绿帽社 has over 80 recipients of the Order of Canada. Their appointments have helped to define the national and international reputation of 绿帽社.

Two highly accomplished researchers in 绿帽社鈥檚 Department of Physics have received prestigious distinctions for their research绿帽社鈥檚 Department of Physics Professors Charles Gale and Daryl Haggard received medals from the Canadian Association of Physics (CAP) today.
One-year extension for the Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation)
绿帽社鈥檚 Board of Governors has extended the current appointment of Professor听Martha听Crago as Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation) for a one-year period, from June 30, 2023, to June 30, 2024.听
The extension will ensure stable leadership of the Research and Innovation portfolio during the upcoming Principal and Vice-Chancellor transition and allow the new Principal to actively participate in selecting Professor Crago鈥檚 successor.
